Its the start of a New Year and we are happy to see what 2010 brings. We had a wonderful holiday season with our family. The highlight of Christmas is our annual party with all the kids, grandkids, and great grandkids getting together. The older we get, the less important gifts become. The true meaning of Christmas and the birth of our Savior is what we focus on. The best gift of all is being with our family and making memories with the people we love. Thank you to everyone who is a part of our life! Happy New Year!

A fun Week
We've had a fun week with Diane and Larry and all their kids who were here for four days while Hayden was at EFY with Justin up at Utah State. We had five kids and ten adults living in our little condo. It was crowded and got pretty wild at times but loads of fun. Skyelar is a carbon copy of our other great grandson Cole and Joey is coming on strong as well. Maddax, Lydia and Cyrie are pretty good at holding their own with these two wild indians. We had a pool party on Saturday, then food and entertainment. Craig and Lynn, Brooke and Brian, Robyn and Brian and family and Lynette were here and we had great fun. Emily entertained us with her singing, so did Hayden and then Skyler and Joey got up and entertained us all with their songs and dances. It was so much fun! We sure love everyone!

Kenai Fjords Cruise
It was a beautiful day and the sun was shining as we cruised the Alaskan gulf into the Fox Islands. On our way our first adventure was the sea otters sunning on the rocks while the dolphins were performing flips by our boat. But then our attention was drawn to the Orca whale waving their HUGE fins at us. We went and saw this amazing glacier and spent 30 minutes watching the ice break away into the ocean. It sounded almost like a thunderstorm. Ice was floating right by our boat. As we headed back home, we saw a pod (group of humpback whales) and a lot of puffin birds skipping across the water. Then we ended with some sea lions hanging out. It was a very calm, peaceful and beautiful day. What a way to end our trip!

What a Catch!
The day was rainy and we sat for 6 hours in the boat with our lines hanging in the water with only 3 bites and no fish. Then in the last 15 minutes and the "last chance" fishing spot.... Chuck caught this 22 lb king salmon. We are going to have a fish fry tonight.... thats about as fresh as you can get!!!!!!!!
